African Linguistics II
Rémi Armand Tchokothe is an Assistant Professor in African Linguistics, and Literatures in African Languages. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Linguistics and English Literature from the University of Buea (2001) and a Magister Artium in African Linguistics, Literatures in African Languages and Development Sociology from the University of Bayreuth (2006).
He was on parental leave from July 2006 to March 2008. From April 2008 to March 2012 he was a Research Associate at the Bayreuth International Graduate School of African Studies. In this framework, he wrote his dissertation Transgression in Swahili Narrative Fiction and its Reception (published with Lit Verlag, 2014).
He was a visiting lecturer at the Université de Lubumbashi (Democratic Republic of Congo), at the Centre Universitaire de Formation et de Recherches de Mayotte, at the Université de Sousse (Tunisia) and at the University of Fort Hare (South Africa).
Rémi Tchokothe is married and has three children.
