Former Swahili Colloquia

The Swahili Colloquium, with a history of over 30 years has become a regular meeting-point for scholars, researchers and stakeholders of the various aspects of Swahili culture(s).

The key focus of the colloquium has been the academic presentations in which crosscutting research across a wide range of academic disciplines such as translation, literature, linguistics and history have been presented. In addition, the colloquium has also hosted events such as book launches, music showcases and poetry readings.
